Meghan Markle flew home to Los Angeles over the Easter weekend to discuss her and Prince Harry’s wedding plans with her mother.
The royal bride-to-be left London last Thursday, equipped with sketches from the wedding according to ABC News royal contributor, Omid Scoble. This included sketches of the all-important wedding dress itself so that Ms Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, could be given some insight into how the big day is going to look.
The trip home for Meghan Markle comes just weeks before her big day: the Royal Wedding at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on the 19th May. The Queen is also hosting a lunchtime reception for her grandson Prince Harry and Ms Markle. There are roughly around 600 wedding guests.
According to Scoble, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are making plans to fly her mother, who is an LA-based social worker and yoga instructor, to London to help Ms Markle with the final wedding preparations.
Whilst in LA, Meghan Markle will also have her best friend Jessica Mulroney, a Toronto-based style advisor, by her side. Scoble said: “She’s been sort of there by Meghan’s side for the entire process, from helping pick the dress designer to even the smallest elements when it comes to planning the wedding”.
Details of the wedding dress remain highly under wraps, but everyone is desperate to get a glimpse of the gown. It is thought the dress designer has been making frequent visits to Kensington Palace for fittings with Ms Markle.
Later in the evening of the big day, a smaller group of around 200 family and friends will toast the newly married couple at an evening reception hosted by Prince Charles at Frogmore House on the grounds of Windsor Castle.
At the weekend, Kensington Palace revealed the floral designer for the wedding is Philippa Craddock. They also revealed the flower arrangements and designs for the special day.
