The Queen has added another engagement to her diary as her holidays look set to draw to a close.

Her Majesty will visit York Racecourse on August 21st during a racing festival there.

Queen Camilla is patron of the racecourse.

The royal visit to York will come just days after The Queen joins The King in a series of events marking the 80th anniversary of VJ Day.

On August 15h 2025, eight decades after World War Two came to an end, Their Majesties will attend a National Service of Remembrance and go on to meet veterans at a special reception.

August is traditionally a quiet month for the Royal Family who spend a large part of their summer in Scotland, at their private residence of Balmoral.

However, Queen Camilla is showing every sign of winding up her summer break as she adds further engagements to her diary.

The visit to York will co-incide with the second day of the Sky Bet Ebor Festival which is also Ladies’ Day.

During her trip, Queen Camilla will unveil a plaque marking the awarding of The Longines World’s Best Race in 2024 to the Juddmonte International.

Queen Camilla also visited the festival last August.
