Prince Louis hops on the Hogwarts Express as he joins George and Charlotte on a special family night out

Prince Louis took a ride on the Hogwarts Express as he and his family enjoyed a special trip to see the new Harry Potter TV show in production.

Filming of one part of the series took place very close to the home of the Prince and Princess of Wales on the Windsor estate.

The Mail on Sunday reported that William and Kate took their three children – Prince George,12, Princess Charlotte, 10 and seven year old Louis – to the specially built set that ran close to Adelaide Cottage as actors and crew filmed scenes set at Hogsmeade station.

It had been recreated in the estate and the production there lasted just one evening.

It provided the Wales family with a perfect end of school week trip for their three children who are understood to have met the stars of the new adaptation – 11 year old Dominic McLaughlin will start as Harry Potter.

During their visit, Prince Louis is reported to have enjoyed a ride on the latest version of the Hogwarts Express.

William, Kate and their children have had their main family home on the Windsor estate since 2022 when they moved to Adelaide Cottage to be closer to the school all three children attend, Lambrook.

The family are said to be moving to the larger Forest Lodge on the estate which it’s understood will be a ‘forever home’ and which could remain their principal residence even after William takes the throne.

The Prince and Princess of Wales famously visited the Warner Bros Studio Tour of Harry Potter in 2013 when Kate was expecting Prince George.
