The King’s guard is stretchered away after collapsing

A member of the Coldstream Guards has collapsed at Horse Guards Parade.

The guard was seen to collapse during the Brigade Major’s Review and had to be stretchered away.

It is understood that the heat was a contributing factor towards the incident, with the guards wearing full ceremonial uniform.

The Brigade Major’s Review saw more than 1,000 soldiers and 200 horses being inspected on parade.

This comes a few weeks ahead of Trooping The Colour – the parade held annually to mark The King’s official birthday.
