He’s become the social media star of the year and now he’s added a royal touch to his already much admired feed.
Hiroshi Suzuki, the Japanese ambassador to the UK, has won a legion of fans with his posts outlining just why he loves the country he’s currently living in so much.
He’s shown admiration for all kinds of UK landmarks, from Tower Bridge to Tayto crisps. And now, he’s gone regal.
First, the ambassador shared a photo of him meeting the Duke of Gloucester who welcomed him to his royal home to talk about the Japan Society.
Prince Richard is patron of the society which promotes strong relations between the UK and Japan.
Hiroshi Suzuki looked thrilled to meet the 32nd in line to the throne who is one of the busiest working royals and said in his post that he was ”deeply grateful for this invaluable contribution to Japan-UK friendship.”
He followed this up hours later with a birthday message to Queen Camilla. As Her Majesty turned 78, the Japanese ambassador reposted the new portrait taken by Chris Getty and added ”wishing a very Happy Birthday to Her Majesty Queen Camilla!”.
He also took to his feed a few weeks ago to wish Prince William a happy birthday.
The social media accounts of Hiroshi Suzuki have become hugely popular and been the focus of media attention around the world.
However, the Royal Family were beaten to an appearance on the channels by another character known for links to Buckingham Palace. Hiroshi Suzuki also has a Paddington Bear that accompanies him on his travels around the UK.
