The royal and the Hollywood star who showed up to one of the year’s biggest events in the same outfit

The Prince of Wales caused quite the stir as he chose to break away from his usual day look for a visit to Wimbledon – only to find one of Hollywood’s biggest stars has chosen almost exactly the same outfit.

Prince William arrived at the All England Club in a double breasted navy blazer, pale blue shirt with white collar and, most strikingly, white trousers.

The ensemble was very summery and very far away from what we’ve come to expect from the future king when it comes to day wear.

However, he found he was almost a total match for Hollywood actor, Henry Cavill, who also chose a navy blazer and white trousers and an almost identical shirt. However, the Superman star added a straw hat to make sure the twinning wasn’t total.

The Prince of Wales accompanied the Princess of Wales to Wimbledon for the Men’s Singles Finals, one of the showpiece events on the sporting calendar. Kate is patron of the All England Club and presents the trophies.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte were with their parents for the big match.

George, who turns 12 in just a few days’ time, wore a dark suit with blue shirt and striped tie for the final. Princess Charlotte chose a white dress with ruffle effect on the top, trimmed in black.

The 10 year old princess lent in close to her mum once they had taken their seats in the royal box.

Prince Louis, 7, didn’t join the family for the tennis outing.

However, they did have some other royal company. King Felipe VI of Spain travelled to Wimbledon to cheer on Carlos Alcarez who was attempting to win a third successive Singles title at the All England Club.

Henry Cavill had other Hollywood company as Oscar winning actress, Nicole Kidman, was also at Wimbledon for the final.
