Prince William is jumping for joy as he celebrates birthday

The Prince of Wales has a spring in his step as he celebrates his birthday.

As Prince William turned 42, on June 21st 2024, his family shared a new photo of him to mark the occasion with the heir to the throne jumping joyfully on a beach day with his children.

Holding hands with Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9 and six year old Prince Louis, William is seen leaping over a sand dune at the seaside near his Norfolk home, Anmer Hall.

The photo was taken by the Princess of Wales who wrote the accompanying message on social media which read ”Happy Birthday, Papa, we all love you so much Cx”.

It came at the end of a positive week for the Wales family with the Princess making her first public appearance since announcing she is being treated for cancer.

Catherine was at Trooping the Colour with her three children where they watched Prince William ride in the parade.

The Prince of Wales has also been at Royal Ascot this week and later flew to Germany to watch England play Denmark in the Euros. There, he met King Frederik of Denmark who was also at the game along with his younger daughter, Princess Josephine.

Buckingham Palace also marked the birthday of the Prince of Wales with a special social media post showing William with King Charles at a photoshoot forty years ago.
