BREAKING NEWS: King Charles to formally remove titles from his brother, Prince Andrew

The King has begun the process to formally remove all titles and honours from his brother, Andrew.

He will lose his style of HRH and title of prince.

From now on, he is to be known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

Furthermore, he will leave his home at Royal Lodge.

In a statement released at 7pm on October 30 2025, Buckingham Palace said ”His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew.”

It continued ”Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.”

It follows a statement from Andrew Mountbatten Windsor less than a fortnight ago that he was giving up the use of his title of Duke of York.

Since then, there has been further controversy about his residence at Royal Lodge, the thirty room house on the Windsor estate that he has lived in since 2003.

It was revealed that he doesn’t pay monetary rent on the property. Instead, he undertook refurbishment work on it and pays a peppercorn rent – handing over one peppercorn every year, if demanded.

That led to questions being asked by politicians who usually steer clear of debating royalty.

Buckingham Palace said ”His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation. These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.”

The statement ended ”Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”

In the past week, the posthumous biography of Virginia Giuffre has also been published. She claimed she was made to have sex with Andrew three times when she was 17 years old. He has always denied the allegation.
