Selfies and sunsets: Swedish royals wrap up their summer with sweet family photos

In what has become a royal summer staple, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden has shared several photos of her family’s adventures over the summer- including one surprise guest! 

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel have had a busy summer with their children, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar. In addition to celebrations for Victoriadagen in mid-July, the events which mark Victoria’s birthday, the family were able to travel extensively across Sweden. 

The Swedish royals shared images on Instagram on the last day of August with several photos of the family to help wrap up the summer. 

Both Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar were able to get time with Rio, the family’s beloved Cavapoo that joined them in 2020. Although we don’t see Rio as often as some other royal pups, he has quickly become a fan favourite. 

The Swedish royals tend to spend much of their summer in Sweden, and this year was no exception. The family gave us a behind-the-scenes look with several landscape shots, as well as a few beautiful sunsets. 

We also got a mum and dad staple- Victoria and Daniel shared a selfie, showing that royals really are just like the rest of us! 

Crown Princess Victoria has been carrying out engagements for the last few weeks, including attending World Water Week. However, the new royal diary starts in earnest now as Sweden’s summer ends with selfies and sunsets.
