Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg kicked off the Grand Duke’s Silver Jubilee celebrations with a major fireworks show.
The Grand Duke and Grand Duchess were joined by Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie to mark the Grand Duke’s twenty-five years on the throne as well as his official public birthday and to celebrate Luxembourg’s National Day.

The City of Luxembourg officially welcomed the Grand Ducal Family for celebrations. The family had attended an official ceremony on Saturday, 21 June, with the reigning couple attending a jazz concert in the evening.Â
The extended Grand Ducal Family appeared together on the balcony of the Grand Ducal Palace. Among them was Henri and Maria Teresa’s daughter, Princess Alexandra, who is pregnant with her second child.
Grand Duchess Maria Teresa made a bold sartorial statement at the fireworks show with a Natan Couture ensemble. The robin egg blue trousers and top were a bright hue, and the sleeves featured feather cuffs for a fun detail.

The family also enjoyed a fifteen minute long fireworks and light show, with projections cast on the Grand Ducal Palace.
Grand Duke Henri announced in his Christmas speech in December 2024 that he would officially be abdicating on 3 October 2025 in favour of his eldest son, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume.
