A new royal baby on the way in Luxembourg

The Grand Duke and Duchess of Luxembourg are set to become grandparents again.

They have just announced that their only daughter, Princess Alexandra, is expecting her first baby.

Alexandra and her husband, Nicolas Bagory, will welcome their child in the spring.

The couple married in April 2023.

In a short statement, the Grand Ducal Court said ‘’The Grand Duke and Duchess have the immense joy of announcing that Princess Alexandra and Nicolas Bagory are expecting their first child. The birth is expected in the spring.’’

Earlier this year it was announced that Alexandra’s brother, Felix, and his wife, Claire, are expecting a third child. The new arrivals follow a brand new baby for the heir to Luxembourg’s throne. Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and his wife, Stephanie, welcomed a second son, Francois, earlier in 2023.

The new baby will be an eighth grandchild for the Grand Duke and Duchess of Luxembourg.
