Royals show their support for Euro 2024

Euro 2024 is set to have several royal spectators as the royal families of Europe support their team throughout the tournament.

The Prince of Wales has announced that he will be in Germany for England’s match against Denmark on Thursday, 20 June. As President of the Football Association, he has already shown his support for England’s side ahead of the tournament.

Last week, Prince William visited the St. George’s Park training centre to meet with the national team before they left for the tournament. In addition to presenting the squad with new shirts, he also shared some advice from his youngest son. Prince Louis advised the team to eat double rations to make sure they are up to playing, although team captain Harry Kane did not believe that the team would be allowed to follow it.

Although he will not be there for England’s match against Slovakia, The Prince will certainly be following the action.

King Frederik has also signalled his support for the Danish national team. On a post on Instagram on Sunday, he shared an image of himself and his younger children, Princess Josephine and Prince Vincent, in Danish jerseys ahead of Denmark’s match against Slovenia. (The game ended in a 1-1 draw.)
