The true sustainable queen of the summer: Mary of Denmark goes back in time and I love her latest pick

Queen Mary shows she is the champion of sustainable fashion as she rewears a blue Prada jacket 12 years after its first showing

Queen Mary of Denmark has shown she is the queen of sustainable style with a very deep dive into her closet.

King Frederik and Queen Mary kicked off their summer cruise on Monday, 25 August when the Royal Yacht Dannebrog sailed into Sæby harbor.

After officially being welcomed, the couple then attended a service at Sæby Church.

The Danish Queen pulled a true archival piece for her arrival – she wore a blue and white linen tweed blazer from Prada.

She paired the blazer with a white collared blouse and a navy, pleated maxi-skirt for the cruise yesterday.

Mary first wore the blazer on 24 June 2013. She was visiting Germany for the CHIO World Equestrian Festival, and wore the blazer with the coordinating linen tweed skirt.

She isn’t the only member of the family to wear the Prada piece. In September 2022, Princess Josephine borrowed the blazer from her mum for Queen Margrethe’s Golden Jubilee service and lunch. She also paired it with Mary’s white poplin Miu Miu blouse.

King Frederik and Queen Mary are taking on their cruise without their four children. They are visiting four municipalities on the trip: Frederikshavn, Thisted, Læsø, and Samsø.
