
Prince Christian, second in line to the Danish throne, has appeared for the first time since he tested positive for coronavirus earlier in December.
The prince, who if 15, took part in a special video marking the fourth Sunday of Advent. Christian was seen alongside his siblings, Isabella, 13 and 9 year old twins, Vincent and Josephine, watching their father, Crown Prince Frederik light the last candle on the wreath as the countdown to Christmas enters its final stages.
The Danish Royal Household confirmed that Christian had been diagnosed with coronavirus on December 6th and he went into quarantine as required under Danish law. He was required to self isolate until December 14th. The rest of his family tested negative for coronavirus.
In the video, which was shared on the Danish Royal Family’s official social media as well as their website, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary as well as their four children wished everyone ‘Happy Christmas’ before settling for a cup of tea.
Christian is the eldest child of Frederik and Mary and has been second in line to the throne of Denmark since his birth in October 2005.
