The best (and worst!) Royal Wedding souvenirs

With the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle fast approaching, now is the perfect time to get your hands on a Royal Wedding souvenir. There is a wide variety available at a range of prices, but which are the best and which aren’t so great?

The obvious choice is an official mug from the Royal Collection for £25. The mug features decorative borders inspired by St George’s Chapel where the royal couple are tying the knot in just over a weeks’ time.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be Prince Harry or Meghan Markle? Well, now is your chance to transform into them! Amazon is selling masks of the Royal couple for £4.99, perfect if you’re throwing a party on the day of the Royal Wedding.

If you’re after something more traditional, Fortnum and Mason are selling a lovely teacup and saucer with the couple’s initials hand-decorated in 22-carat gold and platinum. It is on the pricey end of the scale with the items costing £50 for the pair.

If ceramics aren’t your thing, you can buy Prince Harry and Meghan Markle dolls. The pair comes together dressed in wedding attire and are 18” tall. They come at a pricey £113, and well, they are relatively creepy. This plus the fact they don’t particularly resemble the Royal couple, I’d say they are probably amongst the worst souvenirs out there!

For fans of the Royals and football, £25 will get you a less formal commemorative plate celebrating the Royal Wedding and the FA Cup Final. Each event takes up one half of the plate in a unique design featuring Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s faces and a football, with each half having an appropriate hashtag: #relationshipgoals and #FAcupgoals. Maybe the two events clashing on the same day isn’t such a bad thing!

If you’re on a tight budget, then the Royal wedding snack tray may be for you. For a fabulous £3.79, you can get your hands on the small tray that features the couple’s faces. It’s perfect for serving nibbles and a glass of fizz to your Royal Wedding party guests.

And finally, if you prefer a souvenir that doesn’t just sit in the cupboard and collect dust, maybe the Royal Wedding colouring book is the item for you. It shows the Royal couple in a number of iconic movie scenes: get your crayons at the ready! For a sweet price of £5.99, it is the perfect way to spend your time whilst you patiently wait for 19Th May.
