Hollywood Photographer Jason Bell chosen to capture Prince George’s christening

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have asked renowned photographer Jason Bell to take the official pictures of Prince George’s christening.

Jason, who has photographed many A-list stars including British actress Kate Winslet and Nicole Kidman, will take the historic portraits at Clarence House following the 45-minute ceremony at St James’s Palace.

Many of the Oxford-educated photographs have been displayed at the National Portrait Gallery, of which the Duchess of Cambridge became patron of 2012.

During his career, he has won numerous awards for his stunning work including The Royal Photographic Society’s Terrence Donovan Award and the Best British Black and White Photographer at the British Picture Editor’s Award.

Prince George’s christening will take place on Wednesday, October 23 and will be attended by senior royals including The Queen, Duke of Edinburgh, Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry.

The Middleton family, including Kate’s parents Michael and Carole, will also join the small gathering which will be held in The Chapel Royal at St. James’s Palace.

Jason Bell will capture the magical moments for William and Kate, who will then decide which ones to release. The pictures, which are expected to include The Queen and Prince Charles, will then be unveiled on Thursday, a day after the christening.
