The Queen is now exactly four months away from marking the 70th anniversary of her reign.

Elizabeth II took the throne in the early hours of February 6th 1952 on the death of her father, King George VI.

Preparations for her Platinum Jubilee are already well under way as the four month countdown began on October 6th 2021.

A huge weekend of celebratory events is planned in the UK from June 2nd to June 5th 2022 while other milestone markers, including a special Windsor Horse Show, have already been announced.

Souvenirs, medals and books are also in production.

Royal Central will bring you the latest on all the Platinum Jubilee celebrations over the months to come.
