Longing for labubu? This is how to make the summer plushy key ring trend royal

A plushy keyring in the shape of a corgi

It’s the accessory everyone wants this summer but it’s hard to come by. This year, everyone is looking for labubu, the cute monster elves that have become a must have and which are super popular as plushy key rings.

However, they can be hard to come by and often sell out within moments. If you’re pushing for plush and still looking, these are some royal options on the plushy trend.

Labubu takes on the plushy key ring, royal style

The Royal Collection Shop has a range of options for those who are willing to accept a regal replacement for the longed for labubu. Their ultimate version is also a cute animal with huge eyes and pointy ears. However, this has all the royal credentials as it’s a corgi plushy. It’s £12.95 via the RCT website.

That’s the same price as their other offerings. You can opt for a Plush Guardsman keyring with enough attitude on that little teddy face to match any labubu. RCT also do a Scottish Piper version if you’re still pining after the tartan trend of early 2025.

Historic Royal Palaces, which looks after a range of royal residences including Kensington Palace and Hampton Court, has a plush teddy guardsman key ring this summer, too. This one is slightly more serious looking but retails for just £8 on their website.

Perhaps more in the vibe of monster elves that is labubu is HRP’s plush raven keyring. It’s got a proper air of menace about it while being cute enough not to have nightmares about.

Moving away from the menace and back to hardcore regal, there’s also a Paddington plushy available at HRP. He’s a pricier option at £13 but certainly comes close to matching labubu for omnipresence.

In fact, if anyone is going to win out in this summer’s trend race, it’s got to be the bear that took over a palace.
