Crown Princess Victoria tucks into a plate of reindeer covered with flower petals

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden smiles

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden is embracing her love of nature this summer with a visit to Björnlandet National Park for another inspiring hike. And she got the prettiest lunch as she tucked into reindeer covered in flowers.

The Swedish Crown Princess has set herself a goal of visiting all 31 national parks across Sweden. Her latest trip saw her go floral for lunch – click through the Instagram photos shared by Sweden’s royals to see just how pretty this treat looked.

Inspired by previous visits to parks, Crown Princess Victoria is hoping that her visits will inspire Swedes to enjoy outdoor activity, add more exercise in their lives, and to see all of the landscapes that Sweden has to offer.

This week, Her Royal Highness visited Björnlandet National Park in northern Sweden.

The Crown Princess’s guide, Tomas Staafjord from the Västerbotten County Administrative Board, led the hike through two different trails in the park, Svärmorsleden and Guldbäcksleden.

In addition to enjoying the park, Victoria also spent time learning about the geography of the park. The forest is over a thousand years old, and has a rich ecological system.

A hike is not complete without a local meal, and the guides certainly delivered. Crown Princess Victoria enjoyed a lunch of reindeer thigh with cloudberry cream and pickled chanterelles.

This was the Crown Princess’s eighth park and her second visit this year. Earlier in May, she visited Nor Kvill National Park in southeastern Sweden.
