Queen Mary of Denmark almost made her husband blush with a cheeky question during their big summer tour around the country.
As the put their arms around each other to pose for photographers on a beautiful stretch of sand, Mary asked her husband ”shall we kiss?”
His response was just too sweet. The King of Denmark laughed and looked just a little shy and Queen Mary also giggled and went on posing for photographers.
Frederik and Mary celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary this year and are just about to mark a quarter of a century since they met. The couple’s first encounter was in Sydney in 2000 during the Olympic Games held there when they bumped into one another in a bar.

They conducted a long distance romance for several months before Mary made the big move to Denmark. They announced their engagement in October 2003 and married in Copenhagen on May 14 2004 with royalty from around the world among their guests.
Almost exactly 25 years later, Mary was bringing all the romance to their latest tour which is taking them around Denmark on their royal yacht, Dannebrog.
Her sweet question was posed as the couple visited Råbjerg Mile, one of the northern most parts of Denmark. The couple were seeing the conservation work that goes on in the area but Mary was in playful mood and kicked off her shoes to walk barefoot in the sand before heading into the sea to kick some waves while her husband stayed on dry land.
The tour has involved a heavy focus on conservation work going on in Denmark and has seen Frederik and Mary visit some of the most beautiful parts of the country.
