Queen Camilla bids farewell to her beloved pet dog, Beth

The Queen has bid a ‘sad farewell’ to her beloved rescue dog, Beth.

Queen Camilla’s pet, who came to the Palace from Battersea Dogs Home, died at the weekend.

The Royal Family shared a special message announcing Beth had passed away and accompanied by several photos of her enjoying ‘walkies’ and cuddles with Queen Camilla and King Charles.

The announcement said it was a ”sad farewell to Beth, The Queen’s much loved companion” and added that the little terrier had ”brought such joy, whether on walkies, helping on official duties, or curled up by the fire.”

Beth had accompanied Her Majesty to several events over the years, including a trip to the Windsor kennels of Battersea Cats and Dogs Home.

The Queen adopted Beth and another Jack Russell called Bluebell from the home in 2011.

They soon became beloved pets and were often seen with Their Majesties when they were spotted out walking.

The two dogs became such a big part of Queen Camilla’s life that she had them immortalised on her Coronation gown which featured two golden doggie silhouettes among the symbolic embroidery.

It’s understood Beth had developed an untreatable tumour and was put to sleep at the weekend.
