Prince & Princess of Wales

The Duchess of Cambridge is in labour

The Duchess of Cambridge’s labour is ‘progressing normally’ – that’s the very latest from Kensington Palace. The Duchess was admitted to the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, West London around 6am this morning.

At that time, Kensington Palace said that Kate was ‘in the early stages of labour’. In two tweets, sent within seconds of one another around 6.45am, it was announced that The Duchess travelled to the hospital by car with The Duke of Cambridge and that she had been admitted just as dawn broke in ‘the early stages of labour’.

It’s thought that Kate is around a week overdue – she herself said that her second child was due in mid to late April.  Her baby will be fourth in line to the throne from birth.

Stay with Royal Central through the day for the very latest on the arrival of the second baby of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Our reporter, James Brookes, is at the hospital and we’ll bring you all the breaking news as it happens.
