BREAKING: Prince George’s new school announced

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have just announced that their eldest child, Prince George will be attending Thomas’s Battersea School in London from September 2017.

Prince George currently is enrolled at Westacre Montessori School nursery near the couple’s Anmer Hall home.

Thomas’s Battersea School runs £4,500 a term and focuses on teaching children to “be kind” by not picking a best friend and hurting others feelings according to The Telegraph.

George’s new school could not be happier that their style of education matches “that Their Royal Highnesses would like for Prince George’s education”.

A Kensington Palace spokesperson said:  “Their Royal Highnesses are delighted to have found a school where they are confident George will have a happy and successful start to his education.”

An email was sent out to parents of current pupils reassuring them that nothing will change despite the future king joining them. In the email, they said how they are “deeply conscious of the trust that they, like all Thomas’s parents, are placing in us and we hope very much to live up to their expectations.”

Also adding on: “The Duke and Duchess have made it clear that they do not wish Prince George’s attendance at Thomas’s to change its aims, values or ethos in any way.

“They would like, as far as is possible, for him to enjoy the same education that all of our pupils receive and for them to join the school community as all of our new parents do.”

Prince George is third-in-line to the throne after his father, Prince William and grandfather, Prince Charles. He has a younger sister, Princess Charlotte.
