A new portrait of the Cambridge family has been released by Kensington Palace.
The picture is also featured on Their Royal Highnesses’ Christmas card this year.
Royal photographer Chris Jackson, Getty Images, took the photo earlier this year at Kensington Palace.
The new portrait has been released to coincide with the news that Princess Charlotte will begin nursery in Janurary.
The two-year-old royal will attend Willcocks Nursery School, located a short distance from Kensington Palace.
The nursery said in a statement: “We are delighted that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen the Willcocks Nursery School for Princess Charlotte. We look forward to welcoming Charlotte to our nursery in January.”
On their first day, the nursery children to bring a photo or toy with them to school, and likewise, they are told to take a picture of their teacher back home with them.
Parents pay £3,050 a term for mornings sessions and a further £1,800 for afternoons.
