Man jailed for 35 years in Thailand for insulting the monarchy

A man in Thailand has been jailed for 35 years for insulting the Thai monarchy on Facebook. He was convicted by a military court in Bangkok for Facebook posts which were deemed insulting to the Thai Royal Family. It is one of the harshest sentences handed down under the lèse-majesté law.
