The Mannequin challenge is taking over the internet. The challenge, which involves a group of people who stop in the middle of a movement, while a camera sweeps through the room. Prince Daniel of Sweden had now joined the trend. Last Wednesday afternoon during a meeting with Generation Pep Prince Daniel joined Carolina Klüft and Lina Axelsson Kihlblom. Prince Daniel can be seen holding his phone, with a picture of daughter Princess Estelle as a case, to his ear and giving a thumbs up with the other hand.
The caption behind the posted video on Instagram reads: “Nice break for the jury meeting in tough negotiations about who will be finalists for this year. The prize is awarded on the Sports Gala on January 16, 2017.”
Generation Pep is a new Swedish organisation which was launched earlier this year. They are working to increase the focus on children’s health and to find solutions to the issues surrounding children’s health problems. The Project Manager for Generation Pep, Carolina Klüft, says she found it touching that Hawking, as he cannot move himself, is highlighting how important it actually is that those who can move do so.
Generation Pep was launched by Prince Daniel on 6 July this year. Prince Daniel, the Generation Pep’s founder, has always been very concerned about health. His Royal Highness is himself educated as a personal trainer and runs a company that owns two gyms in central Stockholm.
