Princess Eugenie & Jack Brooksbank conduct pre-marriage interview

The day has finally arrived – Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank will marry today at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.

Around 850 guests are expected to attend the ceremony with an additional 1,200 members of the public watching from the grounds of Windsor Castle.

Ahead of the ceremony, Eugenie & Jack have given a pre-wedding interview with Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.

Eugenie confessed that the whole event was “nerve-wracking and a bit scary.”

She added: “At the end of the day you get to marry the person you love…. and you’re going to be at the end of the aisle, and I’m going to be running towards you!”

Jack said: “We were skiing in a friend’s place out in Switzerland, and I saw you first, didn’t I? And we just stared at each other.”

Eugenie added: “Yes, and I thought, ‘what a silly hat!’… and I thought, ‘who’s that?’ and then you came over and shook my hand and I was all butterflies and nervous.

“I think I rang my mum that night and said, ‘I’ve met this guy Jack’… and that was it I think about how it started.

“I remember being like, ‘I really, really like this guy, I really want him to like me too,’ and then you gave me this huge windscreen wiper wave and that was it, right, he likes me.”

The ancient church will be decorated with foliage and flowers from Windsor Great Park which the couple have chosen to reflect the rich colours of autumn.

Among the blooms and branches are roses, spray roses, hydrangeas, dahlias and some of the berries of the season. The image shared on the Royal Family Twitter account showed flowers in shades of pink, red, mauve and purple, dotted with deep green leaves.
