Princess Beatrice to grace the halls at Sony Pictures

Princess Beatrice of York has decided to enter the entertainment industry by taking up an internship at the London Headquarters of Sony Pictures Television.

Sony Pictures Television is a division of Sony Entertainment. The company owns and is responsible for the international distribution of shows such as the NBC drama The Blacklist and the ABC comedy The Goldbergs.

Last summer, the Princess left her job at Cabot Square Capital, an investment firm in central London. Following this, she has spent her time travelling the world. After ringing in the New Year on steel-tycoon Lakshmi Mittal’s yacht in St. Barts, she visited the ski resort at Aspen, along with Holly and Sam Branson, the children of English businessman Richard Branson.

The globetrotting Princess also took number of holidays to the South of France, Verbier and Venice with her mother, the Duchess of York. She attended a wedding in South Africa and accompanied her family for a visit to southern Spain.

Beatrice has also recently paid frequent visits to her sister, Princess Eugenie, who currently lives in Manhattan, where she works at Paddle8, an online auction house.

Princess Beatrice is not the first member of the Royal family to work in the show business. Her uncle, the Earl of Wessex, was the founder and owner of his own production house, Ardent Productions. Unfortunately, the company was not financially successful and Prince Edward stepped down from his position to become a full-time Royal.

Despite having an HRH title, Princess Beatrice is not classed as a working Royal and does not receive an allowance from taxpayers’ money. However, she occasionally does public service work with her sister.

Last year, the pair visited Berlin, Germany, in an effort to attract students, visitors and investors to the UK. In December, they both attended the ‘Charity: Water Gala’ in New York, along with Beatrice’s boyfriend Dave Clarke.

Next month, Princess Beatrice will join her parents and Princess Eugenie, as they go on their annual skiing holiday to Verbier to celebrate the Duke of York’s 54th birthday.
