Funko is expanding their POP! Royals line with wedding figurines of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and The Queen.
The American Company, famous for its pop culture collectables such as vinyl figurines and bobbleheads is releasing a new royal trio featuring the Duke and Duchess of Sussex holding hands in their wedding attire and an additional doll of Queen Elizabeth II in the outfit she wore to Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding.
The release of the dolls is to celebrate the marriage between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and will be available in the autumn of 2018 in stores and online.
Funko’s official twitter tweeted about the release of the new royal dolls which had some royal enthusiasts excitedly tweeting the company expressing their desire to purchase the POP! dolls.
User @CParkerDesizn tweeted: “I need this in my life. I especially love the queen.”
@MarkleNetwork shared their excitement to own the dolls tweeting: “OMG i need them in my collection”
Other Twitter users also complimented the likeness of the dolls to the royals whom which they represent with @nimotee tweeting:
“Could get one of these. You got the details just right Meghan tiara, even the braiding and tassels on Harry’s coat sleeves and shirt, and the Queen looks so cute)”
The Funko POP! dolls royal line already features dolls in the likeness of Prince William and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, however, the line does not have dolls based on William and Kate’s own wedding attire. Hence, with the release of Harry and Meghan’s wedding figurines, has some Twitter users questioning Funko on whether there will be a royal wedding set of William and Kate.
@DROFLIMDUDE1 tweeted: “Might we get a William and Kate wedding set one day?”
The POP! Royal line also already features two figurines of the late Princess Diana of Wales with one of her in a black evening gown and another in a red evening gown -both featuring a tiny tiara, neckless and clutch bag.
The line also includes Queen Elizabeth II who is accompanied by one of her beloved corgis. The Prince of Wales also has a doll, along with his sons Harry and William, the Duchess of Cambridge also has her own doll which is presented in a blue flowing evening gown.
All of the previous royal POP! Dolls have been available since February of this year.
