The Queen is looking for someone with ‘passion’ and ‘enthusiasm’ to do housekeeping and cleaning job at the Windsor Castle. According to the advert on the on the Royal Household website, ‘’ experience would be an asset, but is by no means essential’’.
The advert sums up the nature of the role as ‘’admiring a spotless room before thousands do the same,’’ referring to over one million visitors who flock to explore the Berkshire estate. Windsor castle said they are looking for someone with positive approach to ‘’deliver the exceptional.’’
‘’ You clearly take care and pride in your work,’’ the job post adds about the ideal employee. ‘’And your keen attention to detail means that you aim for the highest standards in all that you do.’’
The cleaner will be working in all areas, including public visitor route, staff offices, State rooms and accommodation. The job description also involves cleaning and caring for interiors and items, rest rooms, carpets and furniture.
Although no specific salary is announced, the successful candidate will enjoy ‘’a comprehensive benefits package, including 33 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays), a 15% employer contribution pension scheme (with the option for flexibility – to increase contributions or draw down as salary), lunch provided, training and development, as well as a range of recreational facilities.’’
