Attraction win Britain’s Got Talent, to perform for Royal Family

ITVShadow act Attraction have won Britain’s Got Talent after a nail-biting final.

The Hungarian dancers will now perform for the royal family later this year at the Royal Variety Show.

The dance act received the most votes in last night’s final beating runner-up comedian Jack Carroll and will prepare for their royal performance which will take place later this year.

Leader of the troupe Zoltan Scuzs could hardly contain his excitement at winning the show gushing “Thank you, thank you very much the British public.”

Head judge Simon Cowell revealed his delight at the winners and Britain’s choice. “It just shows that the British public welcome people from all over the world,” Simon said.

Amanda Holden also congratulated the winners who will receive the £250,000 prize noting their performance transcends the boundary of language.

The winners will now go on to perform at the Royal Variety Show which will take place later this year. The show normally takes place around the end of November and is screened on television in early December.

The Royal Variety Performance takes place in a different UK theatre each year.

Her Majesty The Queen and Prince Charles, The Prince of Wales attend the performance on alternate years, although Princess Anne has also stepped in.

Last year, The Royal Variety Performance marked its 100th anniversary with a show in front of The Queen at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

The Royal Variety show dates back to 1912, when the present Queen’s grandparents, King George V, and Queen Mary, agreed to attend a ‘Royal Command Performance’ at the Palace Theatre in London.

The royals agreed to attend in aid of the Variety Artistes’ Benevolent Fund (the previous name of the Entertainment Artistes’ Benevolent Fund) and its proposed plans to build an extension to its Home for elderly entertainers, Brinsworth House.

Attraction will perform at this year’s event.
