On 6 February Queen Elizabeth will be celebrating her Sapphire Jubilee as she reigns for 65 years. Leading up to this milestone we will look back at some of the moments to go down in history. 1982- Queen Elizabeth is carried by locals while on her tour to the South Pacific

March 1983- President Ronald Reagan cracks up with laughter as Queen Elizabeth makes a joke about the California weather

29 March 1984- The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and King Hussein of Jordan tour the ancient ruins of Petra

15 June 1985- The Royal Family gathers around Her Majesty for Trooping the Colour

4 August 1986- Queen Elizabeth II, the Duke and Duchess of York, the Prince and Princess of Wales, Princess Margaret and the Queen Mother, wave to well-wishers outside of Clarence House for the Queen Mother’s 86th

14 June 1987- The Queen takes in some polo with her grandsons, Princes William and Harry

1 June 1988- Like mother, like daughter. Queen Elizabeth and her daughter, Princess Anne watch the Derby Races with the Queen Mother and Princess Micheal of Kent

20 April 1989- The Queen visit The Royal Welch Fusiliers for her birthday at Powis Castle In Wales

23 December 1990- All smiles for The Queen at the christening of her granddaughter, Princess Eugenie at Sandringham Church

5 June 1991- I see you, do you see me? The Queen is filmed for a BBC programme at the Epsom Derby
