This years event, which takes place from May 21st-23rd, is the 120th Devon County Show and is the first major agricultural event of the year in the South-West. There will also be the usual prize-winning livestock, delicious local food and drink, west country crafts and six packed show rings.

Show secretary, Ollie Allen, spoke of the upcoming show, “The people and businesses of Devon are so supportive of their county show in a way that is totally remarkable. Bringing town and country together is what we do. There are more agricultural trade stands than ever before, the food and drink pavilion has been extended to accommodate more artisan food producers and our livestock competitions continue to grow.”

As well as Princess Anne’s visit, the show organisers have also invited the new Secretary of State for DEFRA, the identity of whom wont be known until after the 2015 General Election on Thursday May 7th.
