Prince Harry has been rocking out with the Killers

Prince Harry is smart when it comes to keeping secrets, mainly, dating US actress Meghan Markle for months before it went public. The royal has also been hanging out with the American indie rock band, the Killers for ten years.

The Killers drummer, Ronnie Vannucci Jr, revealed this to The Sun in a recent interview. This might come as a surprise even to other members of the Royal Family. Vannucci said that some of Harry’s family unnamed members also have been known to participate in jam sessions with the band.

What is not a secret though, is Prince Harry is a fan of live music. The opening and closing ceremonies of the Invictus Games provided evidence of how much the royal enjoys his tunes.

These late-night jam sessions have been going on for around a decade. Apparently what keeps Harry coming back is the informality of the meetings. The Killers do not enjoy the same level of fame as the Prince; Nor are they aware of the proper protocol when interacting with the royals. Harry can just hang out and be himself.

Vannucci Jr said: “He [Prince Harry] just showed up one time, and we got along.

“It’s been ten years I guess. There’s been a lot of long nights.”

Vannucci nearly disclosed that Harry brought some cousins along, but he did not say who. He also did not mention how involved Harry gets with the rock-out sessions. Harry enjoys just being one of the guys when he is with the rock band: “It’s safe to say we didn’t grow up with the sort of bedazzlement of having a Royal Family.

“So I wasn’t educated in what it means to know these people first. Maybe that’s what made things cool. It was just like, ‘Hey, man’.”

It is not a huge shock that Harry likes the Killers or other musical acts for that matter. However, it is surprising that he has been spending time jamming with the band for ten years. Harry was recently photographed in Hyde Park checking out the British Summertime Festival. The Killers just announced an upcoming tour of Great Britain. Who knows? Perhaps their pal Prince Harry will turn up at one of their shows.
