Meghan Markle to be immortalised in Madame Tussauds waxwork ahead of Royal Wedding

Since becoming engaged to Prince Harry, Ms Meghan Markle has been on a whirlwind tour transforming her into a royal. It seems her next stop is to become immortalised by Madame Tussaud.

Last November, Kensington Palace announced the engagement of Harry and Meghan, and the world waited for a picture of the couple.  The newly engaged pair posed for photos in the sunken gardens at Kensington Palace.  This was a special place for Harry because his mother, the late Prince Diana, was very fond of the gardens.

Now that the couple is to be married, they have undertaken several engagements together, even Commonwealth Day with the Queen.  Through her grace and elegance, Meghan Markle has adapted to her new life as a royal like a natural.  It’s no wonder why Madame Tussaud’s announced they will reveal a wax look-alike of Meghan.  The announcement was made by the town crier, Anthony Appleton outside Buckingham Palace.

Surely in reference to her time as an actress on the hit drama Suits, Mr Appleton said, “Oyez! Oyez! Edward Fuller, general manager of Madame Tussaud’s London, is proud to announce the imminent arrival of her royal likeness Meghan Markle.  The future princess, bride-to-be and queen of the courtroom will be safely delivered to the world-famous London attraction in early May 2018.”

Madame Tussaud’s became famous over 250 years ago, and since then, millions of people have toured this famous museum.  There are now attractions throughout the United States, Europe and Asia, making it a global success.  Madame Tussaud’s is a major London attraction, so to be immortalised there is truly historic.

Meghan’s waxwork will be placed next to Prince Harry in the museum, but the details of the display remain a secret.  Tourists will just have to wait until May for the unveiling.

Madame Tussauds General Manager was excited to release the news about Meghan’s wax figure saying, “Excitement for the royal couple’s wedding reaches across the globe so it will come as no surprise that we’ve been secretly working away on a Meghan Markle figure since news of the royal engagement broke.”
