If you’re a royal watcher and resident of the Nashville, Tennessee area, you are in luck on 19 May! The Westin Nashville, located in downtown Music City, is pulling out all the stops for a red carpet Royal Wedding event.
The Westin explained in their press release, “Hear Ye! Hear Ye! On May 19th, Royal Wedding celebrations will be making their way across the pond and all the way down South at The Westin Nashville, 807 Clark Place. This premier hotel in Music City is pulling out the red carpet for guests and locals alike to celebrate this memorable occasion in style with an exclusive Royal Wedding welcome amenity, speciality spa services, and an upscale watch party at Decker & Dyer.”
Guests who are booked at the Westin on 18 and 19 of May “will receive the full royal treatment.” Everyone will have a royal wedding themed welcome during their stay and even the opportunity to have a break from our beloved sweet tea for English Tea Service in-room.
On the day of the wedding, a royal wake-up call will be offered for guests who can then attend the Decker & Dyer (one of the restaurants in the hotel) Watch Party at 6AM CST. There will be “life-sized monitors will project the wedding as if you were really there.” The watch party is open to the public.
The Westin said about the watch party, “Royal Wedding enthusiasts will be treated to a Traditional English Tea service including food items and a tea service with a Nashville twist of sweet tea cocktails and mocktails. While watching Prince Harry and Meghan wed, attendees will have the option to partake in a champagne toast of Veuve Clicquot, the Official Champagne of the Royal Family, and what will be served at the Royal Wedding.”
If you want to be pampered like Meghan Markle, you are also in luck for the wedding weekend. There will be a Royal Wedding Spa Package that will include “a makeup tutorial class on how to obtain a natural look (Meghan’s preferred makeup look), face yoga (a favorite skincare treatment of Markle’s), a Meghan themed mani/pedi, choice of a Signature Spa massage or facial with coconut or tea tree oil products (Meghan’s favorite spa treatment products), and a complimentary glass of Veuve Clicquot.”
Another royal spa option is available beforehand called the Royal Wedding Queen Mother’s Spa Package available only for Mother’s Day here in the States on 13 May.
An extra amenity awaits those flying in on the new direct flight to Nashville from the British capital. For those passengers, there will be “option to be shuttled to the hotel via black car service pickup from the [Nashville International] airport.”
You can book your room here, and if you want to be royally pampered, book your spa at the Rhapsody Spa here.
As a proud Tennessean, I can tell you the Westin is in a prime location downtown. It is within walking distance of the Country Music Hall of Fame, Bridgestone Arena (where the NHL’s Nashville Predators play) and the famous Broadway Street. The city is sure to be buzzing, especially if the Predators make it to the third round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, and you might just see an up and coming artist in one of the honky-tonk bars (like the famous Tootsies) on Broadway after taking in the Royal Wedding in style! Come on down, y’all!
