The newlyweds married in a lavish ceremony in Stockholm on Saturday attended by royals from around the world.

Madeleine and Chris, who have been dating since 2010, posed for their first official wedding photographs shortly after their grand wedding.

The couple are pictured in the Bernadotte Library at Drottningholm Palace, where they hosted an evening reception for their wedding guests.

In another photo, the Princess and Chris are by joined her parents, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia and Chris’s mother, Eva O’Neill.

Madeleine looked beautiful as she arrived at the Royal Palace of Stockholm for the afternoon ceremony.

The stunning bride was in a pleated silk organza gown with ivory-coloured Chantilly lace, designed by Valentino.

The royal bride wore a sparkling tiara with sprigs of orange blossom for the occasion. Proud parents Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia looked on with pride as their daughter married her prince charming.

A third picture shows Princess Madeleine’s bridal party. This was made up of page boys Louis Abensperg and Jasper D’Abo, who are nephews of groom Chris, Anaïs and Chloé Sommerlath, Lillie van Horn and Chiara Abensperg, who were bridal attendants. Madeleine was following her mother and sister’s tradition of attendants rather then bridesmaids revealing earlier this year “that’s a wedding tradition that I want to continue.”
