The Sussexes

The Queen visits the Sussexes days before the birth of the royal baby

Having moved into Frogmore Cottage in Windsor earlier this year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are settling into their new home while waiting for their baby to join the family.

Now it’s reported that The Queen had wanted to formally welcome Harry and Meghan to their new home and that she was their first visitor. Sources also say The Queen had wanted to see Meghan before she has her baby which is due any day now.

After all, Harry and Meghan practically live in Her Majesty’s back garden as The Queen is known to frequent her residence at WIndsor often.

Over Easter weekend, The Queen was joined by other family members as they visited the cottage.  While Prince Harry attended Easter services at St George’s Chapel, Meghan stayed at home.

Other members of the family that joined Easter services include the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Zara and Mike Tindall and Peter and Autumn Phillips.

Frogmore Cottage, which sits in Home Park, was given to the couple to use as their main home by the Queen.  It’s part of the sprawling private estate surrounding Windsor Castle where the Duke and Duchess wed last May.

Meghan is due to give birth to the couple’s first child any day – in January she told wellwishers that the baby was due in late April or early May. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have chosen to keep details of the arrival private and no information on where Meghan will have her baby have been released. The couple won’t pose for first photos with their child on the hospital steps, as William and Kate did, but instead will share images of them as a family in the days following their baby’s birth.
