Despite the controversy around the Kents, they will still be attending Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding later this month according to Royal biographer Hugo Vickers.
“It is usual for all of the Royal family to be invited. Having said that, as far as Prince Harry is concerned, the rules go out the window and he invites who he choose”
Prince and Princess Michael of Kent are neighbours with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as they also live at Kensington Palace.
Growing up, Princes William and Harry lived in Apartments 8 and 9 and were great playmates of Lord Frederick Windsor and Lady Gabriella Windsor who lived in Apartment 10.
Vickers continued to comment on Taseer’s claims saying he has “behaved in a horrible way”.
Adding: “He bites the hands that feed him.
“They were all very nice to him. Lady Gabriella was very fond of him, so it is very unpleasant of him.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be wed at St George’s Chapel on 19 May in Windsor. Unlike the wedding of his brother, Prince William to the then Kate Middleton, the chapel only holds 800.
Harry and Meghan will be inviting 600 to their big day with a further 2,640 guests to watch the wedding up close within the castle walls.
The 2,640 people will be made up of 1,200 members of the public from every corner of the United Kingdom. These people will be nominated to attend by nine regional Lord Lieutenant offices.
Harry and Meghan have asked that those selected are from a broad range of backgrounds and ages, including young people who have served their communities and have demonstrated strong leadership skills.
200 people from a range of charities and organisations are also invited. These will be representatives from charities which Prince Harry and Meghan have a close association with, including those which Prince Harry serves as Patron.
It is likely that people who work with charities such as Heads Together and the Invictus Games will be on the guest list.
100 pupils from two local schools: The Royal School, Great Park, Windsor and St George’s School, Windsor Castle, will be invited.
Also attending are 610 Windsor Castle community members, including residents of Windsor Castle and members of the St George’s Chapel community.
Last to make up the numbers will be 530 members of staff The Royal Households and Crown Estate.
