Prince Harry's plans to rock out at Invictus Games

<![CDATA[Prince Harry is all set to rock out at the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games on September 14th, with American rock band The Foo Fighters set to headline the event.
The Invictus Games, which were launched by Prince Harry earlier this year, are an international sporting event for wounded servicemen and women and were inspired by the Warrior Games. They will see injured service personnel from across the globe compete in sports such as wheelchair basketball and indoor rowing.

It’s not just the Foo Fighters who will be performing at the closing ceremony. The Kaiser Chiefs, Ellie Goulding and James Blunt have also been confirmed to be entertaining the crowds at the event, which will also include the medal presentation for the athletes.
Speaking ahead of the ceremony, Prince Harry commented, “I am hugely grateful to all the organisers and artists for coming together in September to put on what will be a truly awesome concert.”
The games, which are being held at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in East London, will see more than 400 service personnel from 14 different nations compete and Prince Harry is fully behind the sporting event and the afterparty, saying “For those who didn’t make it back from operations, this is also for you.” Prince Harry is not alone in his support for the games, with a mass of celebrities also pledging their allegiance to the games.
The closing ceremony looks set to be a spectacular finale to what will be a truly inspiring four days. If the headline acts weren’t enough, the concert will also see The Vamps, Rizzle Kicks and the Military Wives Choir take to the stage and if you are worried about not being able to get tickets, then worry no more as the BBC will be screening highlights of the spectacle on television.
Chris Martin of Coldplay will write the anthem for the Opening Ceremony of the Invictus Games, making that event just as special as the closing ceremony.
What with all of the artists confirmed and more to be announced, the closing ceremony looks set to be one of the greatest events of the year and with Prince Harry’s status as a party loving Royal, it looks as though he will be rocking all night to some of the worlds greatest music and reminding us all to rock on!
