Prince Harry wishes Usain Bolt a Happy Birthday

Prince Harry sent out a teasing Tweet to Olympian Usain Bolt for his 30th birthday on Sunday, challenging him to another race.

The prince tweeted from the Kensington Palace account on Sunday, saying, “Congratulations @usainbolt – now you’re officially the greatest you might be ready for a re-run! Happy 30th – h”

The tweet was liked 7,121 times and retweeted 2,078 times as of publishing.

Bolt recently competed in the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics, completing his third “triple-triple” of gold medals in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay races. He is the fastest man on the planet, and the first track athlete to win repeat gold in these events, having also won each race at the Beijing Olympics in 2008, and the London Olympics in 2012.

Prince Harry and Bolt first raced each other during a visit by the prince to Bolt’s hometown of Kingston, Jamaica in 2012. He tricked Bolt into looking the other way on the track, and then got a head start, jokingly beating him in the race.

Bolt later challenged Prince Harry to a rematch while he was in London for the Olympics but the prince teased the sprinter, replying, “I’m busy.”

In Rio, Bolt told reporters that he wanted to celebrate his Olympic gold with the prince.

“I’ll party with Prince Harry and teach him the running man. But only after Rio!”

Bolt replied to the tweet saying “Let’s do it. Mad respect for the bday wishes.”

The tweet is just another example of Prince Harry’s joking nature and fun use of social media. Ahead of the Invictus Games earlier this year, the prince recruited his grandmother, the Queen, for a tongue-in-cheek video shared on Twitter. In it, the pair watched a video from U.S. President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle challenging Great Britain’s athletes to “Bring it.” The Queen cheekily replied to the threat with, “Really? Please.”
