Prince Harry to travel to Chicago to meet the Obamas

Kensington Palace has announced that Prince Harry will fly to Chicago later this month to attend the Obama Foundation Summit after being invited by the former President and First Lady.

During the inaugural Obama Foundation Summit, the young Prince will talk about ways to support and encourage youth leadership to tackle both local and global challenges.

Harry will be focusing on his work in Nottingham with the Full Effect project, an initiative he established with the support of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Prince Harry and President Obama’s most recent meeting was a couple of weeks ago when the President attended the Invictus Games in Toronto.

Earlier this year, the fifth-in-line to the throne hosted the former US President at Kensington Palace.

The former President and First Lady have a strong relationship with the young Royals. Michelle Obama had dinner with Princes Harry and William, the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince George. In 2015, Prince Harry visited the White House.

Royal Central will bring you full coverage of the visit which begins on Tuesday 31st October.
