Prince Harry reveals that he still “panics” when he bumps into The Queen

The Duke of Sussex has admitted that he still “panics” whenever he bumps into The Queen walking along the corridors of Buckingham Palace.

Despite being his grandmother, Prince Harry revealed in a new ITV documentary that everybody worries when They unexpectedly encounter Her Majesty walking around her home.

The documentary, to be broadcast on ITV  offers a behind the scenes look at The Royal Family, and shows Prince Harry talking to a group of visitors at the palace where he made the remarks.

Speaking to a group of hospitality professionals from the Caribbean, the 34-year-old royal said: “You guys have spent way more time in Buckingham Palace than I ever have – and you’ve only been here two weeks.

“Have you bumped into the Queen yet? If you suddenly bump into her in the corridor, don’t panic. I know you will. We all do!”

The new two-part ITV documentary ‘Queen of the World‘ will offer a unique insight into The Queen’s role as a figure on the global stage and the baton she is passing to the younger members of the Royal Family.

The programme-makers have promised to air privileged access to The Queen, her family, her staff and her residences.

The series will tell the story of how important the Commonwealth has been in The Queen’s life, and how it continues to be a central focus for her.

Also featuring in the documentary will be the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Cambridge, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the Princess Royal, and the Countess of Wessex.

Jo Clinton-Davis, Controller of Factual at ITV, said: “The Queen is a unique figure on the world stage, with a huge depth of experience having met more global leaders than any previous British monarch and serving longer than all of them.

“This film is a rare opportunity to see Her Majesty up close and behind the scenes in this role, which means so much to her and has been so significant for Britain and the Commonwealth.”
