The Sussexes

A Duchess and a Chef, call her the “Toast Whisperer”

It’s no secret that the Duchess of Sussex loves to cook. Shortly after marrying Prince Harry, the Duchess joined forces with the Hubb Community Kitchen. The Hubb Community Kitchen is a place for a group of women affected by the Grenfell Tower fire to gather and prepare fresh meals.

Late last year, Meghan helped to produce the charity cookbook, Together: Our Community Cookbook. While being a Duchess means having a busy schedule, Meghan is still willing to make brunch for when her friends come to visit.

Meghan’s longtime friend and make-up artist Daniel Martin paid a visit over the weekend and was kind enough to share a photo of his brunch made by the Duchess herself.

Martin posted, “Thank you Meghan for being the consummate hostess this weekend and still being the #avocadotoast whisperer, YUM!”

Martin uploaded the photo of the delicious-looking avocado toast with a tea set, which appears to be from the Soho Home range.

Martin says the Duchess made brunch herself and reminisced about old times when the two worked on Markle’s lifestyle blog, The Tig.

While the photo’s location says London, it is unknown whether brunch was held at the couple’s home at Kensington Palace.

Martin and Meghan have a tight-knit relationship. Martin is the man responsible for creating Meghan’s beautiful wedding day look as well as her surprise appearance at the British Fashion Show Awards at the end of last year.

Meghan isn’t the only famous face Martin is close with. He’s also responsible for the style and likes of Elizabeth Moss, Priyanka Chopra, Olivia Palermo and Jessica Alba.

Meghan enjoyed some quality time with her friend after a jam-packed week of official engagements. Engagements included a trip to Birkenhead with Harry as well as a performance of Cirque du Soleil’s Totem at Royal Albert Hall.
