A 2017 Royal Wedding is a high possibility

It has been nearly six years since the wedding of Prince William to the then Kate Middleton and every day since Royal Watchers have been waiting for a repeat experience. Their wait may soon be over.

Bookmakers have just slashed the odds that Prince Harry will pop the question to his girlfriend, Meghan Markle. Over the weekend it was reported that Prince Harry whisked Miss Markle off on a romantic vacation to watch the Northern Lights.

Ladbrokes slashed the odds of a 2017 proposal from 3/1 to 4/6, with a 2/1 chance that the two marry within the next 12 months.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes spoke to The Express saying: “As far as the odds are concerned it’s a case of when, and not if, Prince Harry pops the question to Meghan.”

When reports broke of Prince Harry and Miss Markle’s trip to Norway, where they took in the natural phenomena, a betting frenzy followed.

The couple who did not spend Christmas together did have the chance to ring in the New Year. They then left from London last Monday for their trip to Tromso, Norway. They also apparently stayed over in Copenhagen on their way North.

The Sunday Express first broke the news of Harry and Meghan’s relationship on 30 October, when Prince Harry was secretly hiding out in Toronto, Canada, where the two spent Halloween together.

In November, Kensington Palace issued a statement confirming the suspected relationship and asking that the media respects Miss Markle’s privacy and stops harassing her.

A source speaking to The Sunday Express said: “This relationship has moved at lightning speed and they are mad about each other. Friends have even talked about them getting married this year

“It does seem very soon, but both of them have talked about it and are ready to settle down.”

Kensington Palace has declined to comment.
