The Jordanian royals, who are Muslim and as such do not celebrate Christmas, have also sent out warm Christmas wishes to the Christians in Jordan and across the world in addition to messages for the New Year.

Crown Prince Hussein said on his Instagram post about attending a churches celebration for Christmas and the New Year alongside his father, King Abdullah, “Wishing all our Christian brothers and sisters a Merry Christmas.”

Last week, Queen Rania lit the lights on a Christmas tree in the predominately Christian town of Fuheis and posted on her Instagram saying, “Wishing joy and love to all this holiday season.”
