Prince Charles makes donation to slain Canadian soldiers families

Prince Charles has made a considerable donation to the families of the two Canadian soldiers killed recently in separate attacks.

Clarence House confirmed a donation was made to the True Patriot Love Foundation, which is handling the outpouring of monetary donations coming in for the soldiers through the Stand on Guard Fund.

The Prince of Wales’ Charitable Foundation isn’t disclosing the amount of the donation made specifically for the soldiers.

The Stand on Guard Fund was created in the wake of last Wednesday’s fatal shooting of reservist Cpl. Nathan Cirillo in front of the National War Memorial in Ottawa.

All the donations will be allocated equally between Cpl. Cirillo’s family and that of Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent, who was struck and killed by an attacker’s car two weeks ago.
