Prince Charles invites guests for Christmas at Highgrove

The Prince of Wales is to invite members of the public to a Christmas supper at his country residence, Highgrove House.

Prince Charles is to hold his first ‘Christmas supper’ at Highgrove House, his country retreat in Gloustershire. 100 paying guests have been invited to spend a “fabulous festive evening” in the Orchard Room on December 12th.

Guests will be “welcomed with warming, organic mulled wine” and served a “delicious, hearty two-course supper served with mince pies and coffee”. All of this will cost £55 per person.

It is unclear whether the Duchess of Cornwall will be in attendance but guests “will be able to join in singing some favourite Christmas carols”.

The supper is taking place in early December to make sure guests have time to buy their presents from the Highgrove Christmas Shop which has “some great gift ideas”.

The Prince of Wales donates all profits made from the sale of Highgrove products and visits to the Prince of Wales Charitable Foundation which supports a range of his causes and projects.

Last year royal tradition was broken by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge by spending Christmas at Carole and Michael Middleton’s home instead of being with the Queen and the rest of the royal family at Sandringham.
