Camilla To Visit Paris For First Solo Tour

The Duchess of Cornwall is to take on her first solo tour abroad when she visits France next month, Clarence House has confirmed.

Camilla, 65, will visit Paris on May 27 and 28th on behalf of the charity Emmaus UK which helps former homeless people. The Duchess has been patron of the organisation since 2006.

The wife of Prince Charles, will spend time visiting the organisation as she learns about the organisation and to see how the UK and the French teams can learn from one another.

The Duchess of Cornwall will visit two communities to see how they have been helped by the charity.

On the first day, Camilla, who lived and studied in Paris for six months in 1963, will attend a reception to celebrate British people who have made their mark in France.

The following day, the royal will visit the Garde Republicaine, which provides mounted ceremonial guards of honour, to view an equestrian display in her capacity as patron of the British Equestrian Federation.

The Duchess will also visit a market, tour the Louvre museum and visit the workshop of a leading French couture house as part of her first solo tour.

Camilla, who married Prince Charles in 2005 has supported the Prince on tours and most recently visited Jordan with Charles.
