Where and when can you see William and Kate in Sydney?

In the last week we have seen thousands of people lining the streets hoping to get a glimpse of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on tour in New Zealand. As they begin the next leg of their tour in Australia, we reveal how you can get the chance to see the royal couple. William and Catherine will be in Sydney between the 16th – 20th April and there will be plenty of opportunities to see and meet them.

Wednesday – 16 April
For the first day of their visit, the public will have a chance to catch a glimpse of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge when they attend a reception at the Sydney Opera House. Sydney Opera House recommends that the public do not to arrive at the venue any earlier than 12pm. There is limited viewing space and once the area reaches capacity the site will be closed.
If you are disabled, there is a reserved area that will provide you a chance to see the Royals as they depart the Sydney Opera House.

Thursday – 17 April
William and Catherine will visit the Blue Mountains on their second day in Australia. Locals will also get the chance to see the couple when they visit the famous landmark The Three Sisters.

Blue Mountains Lithgow & Oberon Tourism recommends the public not to arrive any earlier than 11.00am.

Friday – 18 April
On Good Friday, Their Royal Highnesses will attend the Sydney Royal Easter Show which takes place at the Sydney Olympic Park. The show is one of Australia’s largest annual events. After that they will head to one of Sydney’s most iconic beaches, Manly, where people can catch a glimpse of them there. It is recommended that people arrive no earlier than 11.00am.

Saturday – 19 April
At the start of the weekend, the Royals will head out of Sydney as they visit the state of Queensland.

Sunday – 20 April
On Easter Sunday, the Duke and Duchess will attend the Easter Sunday church service at St Andrew’s Cathedral before heading to Taronga Zoo to open the Bilby enclosure that will be officially named after Prince George. Could this be a chance for the young prince to meet his adopted Bilby at the zoo?
